Belgian Pro League Club Appoint Former Super Eagle Striker As Caretaker Coach

By Daniel Ojukwu

Former Super Eagles forward, Joseph Akpala, has been appointed as caretaker coach of Belgian Pro League club, KV Kortrijk

Akpala will take temporary charge of De Kerels following the sacking of Glen De Boeck, who was dismissed following the team’s poor run of form.

KV Kortrijk are languishing in bottom position after failing to record a win in their last six games.

It is the third time Akpala will be taking charge of the team this season.

The 37-year-old served as interim head coach before the season started.

The Nigerian also took temporary charge of the team early in the season after Edward Still was sacked due to poor performance.

Akpala will hope to lead Kortrijk to victory when they host Westerlo in a league clash on Friday (today).
