Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen who currently plays for Galatasaray is reportedly being eyed by Spanish giants Real Madrid who are looking to spend more than €100 million to bring him to the club.
The club hopes his arrival will boost their attack and allow Kylian Mbappé to play freely on the left wing.
The Spanish side sees Osimhen as a strong, fast striker with a natural ability to score, someone who can immediately improve the team’s attacking threat. Madrid views him as the ideal player to lead the line and create more opportunities for teammates.
Reports say Osimhen has become a top target because of his impressive performances at Galatasaray. His signing would let Mbappé return to his preferred position while giving Madrid a clear focal point in the penalty area.
Negotiations could be tricky, as Galatasaray invested €75 million to sign him from Napoli and will want a return that reflects his value. Experts believe the transfer fee could surpass €100 million, especially if other major European clubs express interest.
The deal may also be influenced by uncertainty surrounding Vinicius Junior, who has reportedly postponed contract talks, and tensions within the squad. This situation could open the way for Mbappé to stay wide while Osimhen takes the central role.
If completed, the move would strengthen Real Madrid’s attack, make LaLiga more exciting, and could trigger a series of moves in the European transfer market.
