Popular Nigerian dancer and hypeman, Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is set to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, over an alleged assault offence.
The court confirmed the hearing in correspondence with PUNCH on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, stating that the case has been listed for plea and trial preparation on the scheduled date.
The court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, confirmed that the hearing is open to members of the public but said the exact time and courtroom would only be made available on the day before the proceedings.
Poco Lee is currently reportedly being held on remand in the United Kingdom. The development was earlier disclosed by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby and founder of the Community of Nigerians in the UK.
Kuti said the dancer was expected to attend a plea hearing, where he would ordinarily be required to indicate whether he was guilty or not guilty of the allegation.
He also said he planned to attend the proceedings as part of his support for Nigerians facing legal issues in the United Kingdom.
Reports concerning Poco Lee’s alleged detention began circulating online on August 19, 2026, although initial reports did not publicly identify the alleged complainant or provide detailed circumstances surrounding the allegation.
The latest confirmation from Snaresbrook Crown Court now establishes that the case is officially listed for September 15, 2026, as the legal process continues.
