Tinubu in Anambra, promises to industrialize state

The Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has promised to industrialize Anambra State if supported to emerge president of Nigeria in February 25 election.

Tinubu stated this while addressing party supporters at Ekwueme Square in Awka where he held his presidential campaign on Tuesday.

He said  he would replicate what he did in education sector in Lagos as Governor if elected president of Nigeria.

He said: “I am here to concretize the promise of development and industrialization for which Anambra is known. Now, what do we do?  

He also promised to solve problem of erosion in Anambra if elected.

“The way we took Atlantic Ocean is the way we will take erosion,” he said 

He also pledged to create job for the youths.

“We will create jobs for our youths; we will Industrialize and make Anambra the industrial state of Nigeria”.

He described the PDP as political party of liars, even as he accused them of privatising federal establishments into their private pockets. 

According to him, when next they (PDP) come to lie to the people, the people should call them to order.

Tinubu also said that the candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, will deny them if they support him.

“If Peter denied Jesus Christ three times in the Bible, will Peter Obi not deny you?”

Earlier, the Director-General of APC campaign council,  Mr. Simon Lalong had  expressed surprise at the level of mobilization by the state chapter of the party and promised that the party would continue to support them.

Also, leader of APC in the South East, Governor Hope Uzodinma, in his speech, expressed happiness with the level of mobilization by the state chapter of the party and urged the party to keep it up until victory is achieved.

Our Correspondent reports that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, was absent at the  presidential rally in his home state.
