Popular Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, famously addressed as Iyanya, has disclosed that he would have been in six feet down by now if not for the intervention of his manager who came in at the right time when he was about to drink poison to kill self.
According to him, he wanted to commit suicide at that time due to travails of fame in life.
Iyanya made this revelation during an interview with Taymesan, a.k.a. Temisan actor Emmanuel Ahwieh, on the most recent episode of the “Tea With Tay” podcast.
According to him, his manager suspected he was up to something, as he had earlier called him and he severely refused to pick up calls.
Iyanya added that he had already bought\ the deadly substance he intended to consume to end his life before his manager interrupted him.
“I almost committed suicide, my manager stopped me; all of that stuff; madness. He had the master key; he had been calling me; I was not picking. He used the key to enter the room, and the first thing he did was to take the sniper from my side.”
