Tragedy occurred in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State as two people died, 24 while dozens others are still missing after boat disaster.
The sad incident, it was gathered, occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, 10 September, 2023.
The council chairman, Jibrim Muregi,, confirmed the accident, adding that the actual number of travellers cannot be ascertained at the moment.
According to Muregi, 24 bodies of the passengers who hailed from various communities of Gbajibo, Ekwa and Yankeiade, just as also added that presently a rescue team is on ground to rescue and recover bodies.
