A dismembered body of a young man, whose hands were tied behind his back, with obvious signs of violence relating to a suspected cult clash, was found in a rubbish dumpsite in the early hours of Sunday by passersby in Makurdi, Beñue State.
The victim, who is yet to identified, is believed to be between 20 and 25 years old and black in complexion, was found with one ear missing.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Iorpuu Adai Street, Nyiman Layout, HUDCO quarters in Makurdi.
His attackers had placed his body in a sack before dumping it at a refuse dumping site in the town.
His body was found by people who were going to church early in the morning on Sunday.
As at the time of filing this report, the Benue State Police Command is yet to confirm the development.
