Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has placed a $50,000 wager on the Super Eagles ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against Morocco on Wednesday.

The singer shared a photo of his betting slip on Instagram, signaling his confidence in Nigeria’s performance in the crucial 9pm Nigerian time encounter.

“Nigeria to make the finals and I’ll double my stake on my slip…. 💰 #stake,” Davido wrote, showing his full backing of the national team.

The bet, placed on the platform Stake, combines predictions including both teams to score and the Asian total over 1.5 goals, with odds of 6.97. If the outcomes match his predictions, the Grammy-nominated artist stands to win an estimated $348,274.07.

The Super Eagles, last crowned Africa Cup of Nations champions in 2013, will be aiming to overcome Morocco, one of the standout teams in the tournament.

This follows a previous wager by Davido, who reportedly earned $96,564 after correctly predicting the outcome of Nigeria’s Group C opening match against Tanzania.
