The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is happening today, Saturday, February 14, 2026! The 42 km race started early this morning at 6:30 a.m., while the 10 km run began at 9:30 a.m., and both races will continue until about 12 p.m. today.
Please note that key roads along the marathon routes — including Ahmadu Bello Way and the Coastal Road for the full marathon, and Durosimi Etti, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Bishop Oluwole, Akin Adesola, and Sanusi Fafunwa for the 10 km — are closed to traffic from midnight until about 12:30 p.m. as part of the city’s traffic management and safety plan.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternative routes and allow extra travel time if you’re travelling through Victoria Island and Lekki areas today.
