Tinubu Meets TY Danjuma At Aso Rock Amid National Discussions

President Bola Tinubu received former Minister of Defence, Theophilus Danjuma, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, which took place at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, was held behind closed doors. Details of their discussions were not made public at the time of filing this report.

Danjuma, a retired general and respected elder statesman, arrived at the Villa earlier in the day and was seen exchanging pleasantries with top government officials before proceeding to meet the President.

Although the agenda of the meeting was not officially disclosed, such high-level visits often focus on national security, governance, and other pressing issues affecting the country.

Danjuma previously served as Nigeria’s Minister of Defence and has remained an influential voice in national affairs. He has at different times spoken on security challenges and political developments in the country.

President Tinubu has in recent months held consultations with political leaders, traditional rulers, and former public office holders as part of efforts to address key national concerns.

Observers believe the visit may not be unconnected to ongoing discussions around security and political stability.

Neither the Presidency nor Danjuma issued an official statement immediately after the meeting.

However, sources within the Villa described the visit as cordial, noting that both leaders shared views on matters of national importance.

The development comes as the administration continues to engage stakeholders across sectors in pursuit of reforms and improved governance.
