Nigeria’s football community has been thrown into mourning following the death of former Super Eagles midfielder Henry Nwosu. The ex-international was widely known for his role in one of the most successful periods in Nigerian football history.

He was a member of Nigeria’s historic 1980 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad, which secured the country’s first continental title.
