Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday attended the 2026 National Police Day Grand Parade at Eagle Square in Abuja.
Upon arrival, the Vice President took the salute from officers on parade as the ceremony officially commenced.
The event drew top government officials, security chiefs, and senior leadership of the Nigeria Police Force, alongside officers from across the country.
The celebration also includes tributes to fallen police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The parade featured ceremonial honours, with officers lined up in full formation to mark the significance of the occasion.
The National Police Day event highlights the contributions of the police to national security and recognises their service to the country.
