Businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose has been thrown into mourning following the death of his wife, weeks after publicly revealing her heartbreaking battle with cancer.

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, announced the sad development on Saturday through emotional posts shared on his Instagram page, where he paid tribute to his late wife and expressed deep sorrow over her passing.

The businessman shared a candlelight image alongside the message, “Rest In Peace, My darling wife,” before posting additional photos of his wife with a brief farewell note that immediately triggered reactions from followers and celebrities across social media.

The death comes barely weeks after Fayose emotionally disclosed that his wife had been battling cancer in Australia, revealing in a tearful video that her condition had deteriorated badly before his visit.

At the time, he narrated how the illness left her too weak to speak, cook or even pick him up from the airport as she normally would, forcing him to care for her personally during his stay abroad.

In the emotional video that later went viral, Fayose reflected on life, wealth and mortality, saying his financial success and luxury lifestyle could not save his wife from the devastating illness.

Following news of her death, several celebrities and public figures flooded his social media pages with condolence messages, including actress Yvonne Jegede, comedian Ali Baba and veteran musician Daddy Showkey.

The tragic announcement has since sparked widespread sympathy online, with many Nigerians recalling Fayose’s emotional public appeals and prayers during his wife’s cancer struggle.
