…Says Warri and Koko Ports will receive our attention so as to decongest Lagos
The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised to ensure massive infrastructural revolution in Delta State if elected president in 2023 election.
According to the former Governor of Lagos State who spoke during a town Hall meeting in Warri on Saturday, this will no longer be the situation where a ‘‘governor would be commissioning stores.
“ Go to Lagos and see the massive infrastructure springing up. That was what I started in Lagos and what I promise to spread to all states of the federation. The Warri and Koko Port will receive our attention so as to decongest Lagos,” he said.
The Oil City stood still as APC heavyweights from all over Nigeria converge for the flag-off of the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections mega campaign in Delta State with Tinubu calling on Deltans to vote massively for the party so as to spread the massive infrastructural revolution taking place in Lagos to Delta State for the good of the people.
The Warri Township stadium, venue of the event was filled to capacity as the Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, his wife, Oluremi and other top shots including the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, his deputy, Hon Friday Osanebi among others elicited earth-quaking applause from the enthusiastic crowd of fans and party faithful from all over Delta State.
The roll of dignitaries at the event include Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate, his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shettima; Senate President, Dr Ahmed Lawan; Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State who is also Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, former National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomole, former Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio amongst many others.
Tinubu expressed dismay with the performance of the Delta State governor, whom he said has performed below expectations despite the huge allocations to the state.
The Delta Steel Company shall receive the right attention for it to come alive again’’, he added, stressing that he was determined to make sure all APC gubernatorial candidates win their respective elections in 2023.
On his part, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege assured that with the kind of allocation coming to Delta State, there was no way Delta State should not compete with Lagos state in terms of infrastructure, noting that with the right leadership, Delta State will make impact in the comity of states in Nigeria.
