Music executive Dapper has dismissed allegations made against him by singers Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi, insisting that he has conducted his business openly and has nothing to conceal.
He challenged the artistes to allow independent auditors and top law firms examine their contracts and financial records, insisting that the truth could be established through proper professional scrutiny rather than social media exchanges.
Dapper said records relating to the business dealings exist and are available to the appropriate authorities, maintaining that ongoing processes should be allowed to determine the facts.
Responding to the accusations, he rejected claims that he had wronged the artistes financially and insisted that their business relationship began in 2021, when he said he invested in Seyi Vibez’s first project before receiving any music from him.
The music executive also took issue with Shallipopi’s account of a previous scheduled appearance, claiming that he attended the event while the artiste failed to show up.
Dapper said he was not interested in trading insults or engaging in a prolonged online battle, urging the artistes to move on while allowing the relevant records and processes to speak for themselves.
His response follows public allegations by Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi and T.I Blaze over their past business dealings with him, including claims relating to money, royalties and control of music catalogues. Dapper has denied wrongdoing and challenged those involved to submit the disputed contracts and accounts to an independent forensic review.
