Big Brother Naija winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has reportedly been moved into protective custody by police authorities following a disturbing family incident that occurred at a residence in Abuja.
The reality TV personality was said to have been involved in a heated confrontation linked to an ongoing family disagreement, prompting security operatives to intervene after distress calls were made from the area.
Sources familiar with the incident disclosed that officers of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command arrived at the residence late at night after reports emerged that the BBNaija star was allegedly attacked during an altercation involving members of her family.
According to reports, police officers forced their way into the compound after meeting the gate locked on arrival. Ilebaye and her younger brothers were later escorted out of the residence and taken for medical attention after allegedly sustaining injuries during the confrontation.
The siblings were subsequently placed under temporary protective custody while investigations into the matter continue.
Meanwhile, Ilebaye’s father, Emmanuel Odiniya, was reportedly detained by authorities following the incident. Sources said he also suffered injuries during the clash and is expected to remain in custody pending further investigation.
The development triggered reactions across social media after emotional videos linked to the incident surfaced online, with fans expressing concern over the safety of the reality star.
Although the exact cause of the dispute has not been officially confirmed, reports indicate that long-standing family disagreements may have contributed to the situation.
Police authorities have yet to release full details of the investigation, but officials say all parties involved will be questioned once they are medically cleared.
