Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has lost another aide in road crash, barely seven days after losing a member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Barrister Leonard Alegu.
The latest is the Coordinator of Ishielu Development Centre of Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Mr Sunday Agwu popularly known as Aliife
Mr Agwu died on transit along Ntezi axis of Abakaliki/Enugu expressway on 25th December, 2022, where his car lost control and summersaulted multiple times.l, according to sources.
Efforts to save his life as he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment failed.
The Chairman of Ishielu LGA, Mr. Obinna Onwe while reacting to the incident described it as a collosal loss to the Council and the State at large.
He called on the family of the deceased to take consolation in the Lord as only God knows the real reason behind every event on earth.
Recall that Mr Leonard Alegu, was shot dead by suspected kidnappers in Anambra State.
The incident occurred on Saturday, December 17th along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, in Umunya community, Oyi local Government Area of Anambra state.
A source revealed that the deceased was traveling from Abakaliki to Onitsha to attend a child dedication when the incident occurred
