Victor Osimhen made history on November 5, 2025, with a performance that fans will never forget. The Nigerian striker scored his first-ever Champions League hat-trick, leading Galatasaray to a comfortable 3–0 win over Ajax in Amsterdam.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 59th minute with a brave diving header after a perfect cross from Leroy Sané. He then showed great confidence from the spot, scoring two penalties to complete his hat-trick and seal the win.

This special night made Osimhen the top scorer in this season’s Champions League with six goals. It also made him the first Galatasaray player since 2012 to score three goals in a single Champions League game and now, he’s Nigeria’s all-time leading scorer in UEFA competitions.

More than just goals, Osimhen’s energy, focus, and passion inspired his teammates and the fans. With Galatasaray now in a strong position to reach the knockout stage, Osimhen’s heroics have given the team new belief.

“I’m just grateful for this moment,” he said after the match, smiling as fans chanted his name.
