Three kidnap victims rescued in Edo

Edo Police Command, Tuesday, confirmed the rescue of three victims of kidnapping in the state.

A statement by Deputy Police Public Relations Office, Jennifer Iwegbu, disclosed that the victims were rescued in Akoko-Edo, Monday.

“In continuation of its fight to curtail and rid the state of the menace of kidnapping and other related vices, the Edo State Police Command through its Divisional Headquarters Ibillo, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, on 01/08/2022 at about 07:00hrs rescued some kidnapped victims.

“This was sequel to credible information provided to the police by good Nigerians that hoodlums dressed in Army Camouflage attacked two vehicles along Ibillo/Ikiran-Ore Road, emerged from the bush, and whisked six passengers from the vehicles into the bush,” the statement read.
