Spanish La Liga football giants, Barcelona FC are ahead of Bayern Munich FC, Atletico Madrid FC and Juventus FC in the race to secure the services of to mercurial Leicester City midfield dynamo, Wilfred Ndidi.
Barclona are said to be the head of the queue of other European giants to lure the Ndidi to Nou Camp, one of most popular playing ground in world football.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles midfielder stayed with the English club despite their relegation from the Premier League last season.
He signed for the Foxes in 2017 and has made 252 appearances for the club in all competitions, contributing 14 goals and 16 assists in the process.
The Nigerian international only has a contract with Leicester City until next June and he is widely expected to leave as a free agent.
The club is believed to be a long-term admirer of Ndidi and according to Sport, the La Liga giants are hopeful of signing him in June 2024.
