The Bauchi State Police Command has deployed a large number of security personnel and upgraded weapons to communities in Alkaleri Local Government Area to tackle banditry and maintain law and order.

Police Public Relations Officer, Nafiu Habib, said the move targets Gwana, Digare, and Kafin Duguri, following a recent rise in security threats in the area.

The deployment involves joint operations with the military, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and other security agencies.

Habib assured residents that the coordinated efforts, backed by the Bauchi State Government, are already showing results in improving safety.

He reassured people in Mansur town, who had fled due to fear of attacks, that their community remains safe and under control.

The Police Commissioner, Sani Omolori Aliyu, stressed that there will be no safe haven for bandits and urged residents to report suspicious activities to security agencies.

Citizens were encouraged to cooperate with the authorities, provide intelligence, and continue their daily activities confidently, knowing that security measures have been strengthened.
