The All Progressives Congress has elected a new set of national executives following its convention held in Abuja.
At the gathering, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda was returned as National Chairman, while Sen. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiruemerged as the party’s National Secretary.
The election, conducted through a consensus arrangement, produced officials who will steer the affairs of the ruling party in the coming years.
Among those elected are Ali Bukar Dalori as Deputy National Chairman (North) and Benjamin Obi Nwoye as Deputy National Chairman (South).
Other key positions include AbdulKarim Abubakar Kana as Deputy National Secretary and Murtala Aliyu Kankia as National Legal Adviser.
Uguru Mathew Ofoke was named National Treasurer, while Haruna Ginsau emerged as National Financial Secretary.
Muhammad Sulaiman Argungu was elected National Organising Secretary, with Emeka Okafor as his deputy.
Donatus Enyinnah Nwankpa was announced as National Welfare Secretary, while Christopher Michael Akpan will serve as Deputy National Welfare Secretary.
Felix Morka retained his position as National Publicity Secretary, alongside Meseko Durosinmi Josiah as Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
Additional roles include Abubakar Maikafi as National Auditor, Mary Idele as National Women Leader, Zainab Ibrahim as Deputy National Women Leader, and Dayo Israel as National Youth Leader.
The newly elected executives are expected to oversee party operations and strengthen its structure ahead of future political activities.
