Tammy Abraham is set to return to the Premier League as Aston Villa have agreed an £18 million deal to sign the England striker from Besiktas.
The 28-year-old travelled to the UK on Friday and completed a medical on Saturday after Villa reached terms with the Turkish club. Abraham had joined Besiktas on loan from Roma last summer, with a contractual obligation for the Turkish side to buy him permanently. Despite initially not wanting to sell, Besiktas agreed to let him move back to England.
Abraham enjoyed a productive season at Besiktas, scoring 12 goals in 24 appearances. The striker, who has earned 11 caps for England, confirmed his permanent status with Besiktas after the club announced that the conditions of his transfer had been fulfilled, triggering a €13 million payment to Roma.
The striker first joined Roma from Chelsea in 2021 for £34 million, netting 39 goals in 120 appearances and helping the Italian side win the Europa Conference League in 2022. He also spent the 2024–25 season on loan at AC Milan, scoring 10 goals in 44 matches.
Abraham’s move to Aston Villa marks a return to the Premier League, where he first rose to prominence with Chelsea, and Villa fans will be hoping the striker can replicate his earlier form and boost their attacking options.
