United States President Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of an immediate ceasefire with Iran, insisting that Washington will maintain pressure until its objectives in the Middle East are achieved.
Trump’s remarks came as tensions between the two countries continued to escalate, with Iran responding that years of sanctions and conflict have left the country struggling with widespread hardship and a growing health crisis.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, however, said the country has suffered immensely from prolonged economic sanctions and regional instability, describing Iran as “a country full of sick people” who have endured years of hardship.
According to him, the sanctions have weakened the nation’s healthcare system, strained the economy and made life increasingly difficult for millions of ordinary Iranians.
Despite the ongoing tensions, Iranian officials maintained that the country remains open to diplomacy, provided its sovereignty and national interests are respected.
Trump, however, indicated that the United States would continue its current approach, arguing that increased pressure is necessary to prevent further instability in the region.
The renewed exchange of statements comes as international leaders continue diplomatic efforts to prevent a wider conflict in the Middle East, with several countries calling for restraint and renewed dialogue between Washington and Tehran.
