Adeleke Celebrates Abel Enitan’s Appointment as Head of Civil Service

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan on his appointment as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

Adeleke described the appointment as a proud moment for Osun State, saying Enitan’s emergence was a reflection of his years of service, experience and commitment to the Nigerian public service.

The governor noted that Enitan, an indigene of Osun State, had built a career in the Federal Civil Service and served as a Permanent Secretary in several capacities before his appointment to the top position.

Enitan currently serves as a Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education and has spent about seven years and seven months as a Permanent Secretary.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke congratulated Enitan on behalf of the government and people of Osun State.

The governor expressed confidence that the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation would bring his wealth of experience to the office and contribute to efforts to strengthen professionalism, efficiency and service delivery across the Federal Civil Service.

Enitan was appointed by President Bola Tinubu and is expected to formally assume office on August 27, 2026, succeeding Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack.

Adeleke wished Enitan success in his new assignment, expressing optimism that he would justify the confidence reposed in him as he takes over the leadership of the Federal Civil Service.
