The Economic Community of West African States has launched its 2026 recruitment exercise, offering over 30 job opportunities to qualified citizens across member states, including Nigeria.

The organisation said the recruitment is aimed at strengthening the implementation of its programmes across key institutions within the region.

Interested applicants have been urged to apply through the official ECOWAS careers portal before the deadline.

Available roles in Nigeria include Office Aide, Programme Assistant, Nurse, Protocol Assistant, Documentation and Archives Assistant, Office Manager, Accountant roles, Legal Officers, Political Advisor, Registrar, and other senior positions, all based in Abuja.

Other vacancies are located outside Nigeria, including positions in Addis Ababa, Liberia, Conakry, and Dakar, covering administrative, finance, and programme roles.

ECOWAS stated that applicants must meet specific age requirements depending on the job category, with limits set for support staff, professional roles, and director-level positions.

The organisation also encouraged female candidates to apply, noting that only shortlisted applicants would be contacted.

Applicants are required to complete the official application form, attach a CV and a motivation letter, and submit all documents through the designated channels.

It warned that applications without the required documents would not be considered during the selection process.

The recruitment exercise will close on April 30, 2026, while ECOWAS advised applicants to beware of fraudsters, stressing that it does not charge any fees for job applications.
